Detectives obtained warrants on Monday and charged the three suspects.
ASHEBORO, N.C. — Three people are facing charges connected to the murder of a Navy veteran, according to police.
Asheboro police said 39-year-old David Davis, an employee of 64 Skillz in Asheboro and a Navy veteran was shot and killed on Nov. 11, 2024 during an armed robbery.
The Asheboro Police Department Criminal Investigations Division launched an investigation and identified three suspects.
Detectives obtained warrants on Monday and charged the three suspects.
Police said Victor Earl Austin Jr. , 34, is charged with First Degree Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Conspiracy, and 2 Counts of Felony Breaking and Entering. Austin was arrested by APD Detectives in Greensboro with assistance from Greensboro’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT), & the NC SBI. He is being held in the Randolph County Jail under no bond.
Officers said Emilio Francisco Alston, 34, is charged with First Degree Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Conspiracy, and 2 Counts of Felony Breaking and Entering. Alston was arrested in Ramseur with assistance from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. He is being held in the Randolph County Jail under no bond.
Detectives said Tiree Sintell Rone, 39, is charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. Rone is currently in the Chatham County Jail and is held on other pending charges.
