It’s hard to believe that 18 months have passed since the end of Megan Rapinoe’s soccer career after an injury in the NWSL Final between the Reign and San Diego.
It marked the end of almost inarguably the most impactful time in women’s sports and certainly in Women’s Soccer.
Rapinoe was, and still is, a champion for Women’s sports, including leading the charge for equal pay with Team USA Men and Women’s Soccer.
It’s something she can reflect on further, now that her career is over.
She can also look ahead to the future.
We caught up with Megan at “The Experience: Seattle,” which was a networking and educational event for small business owners on the Seattle Waterfront last week.
Megan’s advice was sought out by the group, not just for her work during her playing career, but also the work she’s done since retirement, including launching a podcast “A Touch More” with Sue Bird.
As Megan puts it, “I’m just about to turn 40, I’m a young person, I have to do something for the rest of my life, so it might as well be business and women’s sports.”
