Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, a nonprofit youth mentorship organization, is moving back to Denver after securing a long-term lease at Denver’s Tamarac Plaza II.
The group had moved to Englewood in 2016.
“At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, real estate decisions are about more than square footage – they’re about mission alignment,” said Elycia Cook, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado. The office at Tamarac Plaza is over 8,400 square feet.
“We needed a space that brought us closer to youth, families, and volunteers, while also serving the needs of our dedicated staff.”

Tributary Real Estate, a Denver-based integrated commercial real estate firm, acted as the leasing broker on behalf of BBBSC, while Mitch Bradley and Sergio Castaneda from CBRE represented the landlord.
To meet evolving workplace needs, BBBSC worked closely with Tributary to identify a space that would support a hybrid work model and balances in-office days with school mentorship and weekly site-based programs.
The new space, 7535 East Hampden Ave., features a a Donor Wall honoring those that have invested in Colorado’s youth and a multipurpose conference room with a mural of a mentee and mentor, displaying “It Takes Little to Be Big.”
“Big Brothers Big Sisters is an organization that does so much for Colorado and Metro Denver, and we were honored to support them in identifying the right location for their employees and volunteers as well as the families they serve,” said Andy Cullen, managing broker and partner at Tributary Real Estate.
Cullen also serves as chair for the organization’s board of directors.
Founded in 1918 as an alternative to the juvenile justice system, BBBSC has been dedicated to empowering youth through programs such as one-to-one mentoring, career and college readiness and other support services. Last year, the nonprofit served over 1,500 youth in Colorado, with 38% of them residing in Denver.
