The heat is one. Average temperatures for mid-May begin in the low 60s and peak into the high 80s but the temperatures are exceeding the 90s for at least the next four days.

Friday, the Jacksonville Airport recorded a high temperature of 96.1 degrees.

SATURDAY EVENING FORECAST

Temperatures will drop into the mid-70s by midnight, with light winds from the west, increased humidity and partly to mostly cloudy skies. There is no rain in the forecast south of I-10. There is a low chance between 10 and 30 percent for rain, predominately at the Florida-Georgia border and Southeast Georgia, with low accumulation.
