Class A Semifinal: No. 3 Minnechaug (4) vs. No. 2 West Springfield (16)

There was no shortage of offense for the No. 2 West Springfield girl’s lacrosse team on Wednesday, as it had five players record multi-goal games as part of a 16-4 win over No. 3 Minnechaug in the semifinal round of the Class A tournament.

Darby Poe led the way with four goals in the win, while Elda Hurdmovic, Audrey Canata, and Molly Finn all recorded hat tricks. Campbell Connelly contributed to the effort by scoring a pair of goals, as did Emma Chapan with one of her own.

With her team in complete control, Olivia Davis had a light day of work as she saw little action near her net, making only one save.

West Springfield awaits the winner of the matchup between No. 1 East Longmeadow and No. 4 Agawam in the final round of the tournament.

Class C Semifinal: No. 4 Hampshire (7) vs. No. 1 South Hadley (13)

Class B Semifinal: No. 3 Wahconah (15) vs. No. 2 Hoosac Valley (4)

Wahconah punched its ticket to the Class B Championship on Wednesday with a 15-4 upset over Hoosac Valley.

The Warriors were led by a dominant performance from Danielle Hagmeier, who netted six goals, while Anna Doyle added five to fuel the offensive surge. Despite the loss, Hoosac Valley’s Emma Meczywor put up a strong fight, recording two goals and two assists. Jacinta Felix and Ashlyn Lesure each chipped in with a goal for the Hurricanes.

Hoosac Valley wraps up its regular season with an impressive 13-3 record. Wahconah will face the winner of No. 1 Northampton vs. No. 4 Chicopee in the Class B title game.
