Flip the Bird is a local fried chicken sandwich chain that stands by serving food with no “crap” in it. The company, with an emphasis on fresh-never-frozen food, created a sandwich specific to Boston Calling that’s named after the festival. “The Boston Calling” sandwich comes with a spicy, Nashville-dusted fried chicken breast topped with coleslaw and homemade Bayou sauce on a potato roll.

Dunkin’ went fully retro with its Boston Calling activation this year. The stand is offering free samples of Dunkin’ coffee in four flavors: pistachio, butter pecan, mint chocolate chip and cookie dough. However, despite, the chilly temperatures, the stand is only serving iced coffee.

While at the stand, concertgoers can add some sparkle to their wardrobe, apply a fresh layer of sunscreen or take a picture on a doughnut chair.

What to know about Boston Calling

Boston Calling will be held at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston Memorial Day weekend, Friday, May 23 through Sunday, May 25.

The festival made several improvements for the 2025 festival after receiving backlash in 2024 over unsafe conditions, crowd control and capacity issues. Among the improvements are a new site map, more water stations and a reorganization of stages.
