At least six people were shot Saturday night in Colorado Springs and one remains in critical condition, police said.

Colorado Springs officers responded to reports of an active shooter in the 1400 block of Potter Drive at about 10:12 p.m. Saturday, according to the police department.

The block is less than a mile north of the Citadel Mall.

When they arrived, officers found multiple people who had been shot, police said. Paramedics took at least four people to the hospital and another two victims took themselves.

Police said one victim is in critical condition. No updates were available on the conditions of the other victims.

Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from an argument but were not able to provide any additional details. No suspects were publicly identified and it’s unclear if any have been arrested.

The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Colorado Springs investigators at 719-444-7000 or Pikes Peak Crime Stoppers at 719-634-7867.
