Ford Motor Company is recalling over 280,000 Ford and Lincoln vehicles due to brake and steering safety issues.

One recall is for over 273,000 2022-2024 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator models whose front brake lines may contact the engine’s air cleaner outlet pipe and become damaged. This issue can result in brake fluid leaking and reduced brake function, which increases the risk of crashing.

Drivers who think their vehicle may be part of the recall should contact their Ford dealership, the recall advises. Dealers should inspect the front brake line and replace the brake line or air cleaner outlet pipe for free as necessary.

Vehicle owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 26, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 for more information. Ford’s number for this recall is 25S47.

Another recall is for nearly 9,200 2025 Ford F150s whose lower intermediate shaft fasteners may be improperly attached to the steering gear, allowing the shaft to come loose or detach. This issue can cause the driver to lose control of the truck’s steering and increase the risk of a crash.

Drivers who think their truck may be part of the recall should contact their Ford dealership, the recall advises. Dealers should inspect and replace the lower intermediate shaft fasteners for free as necessary.

Truck owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 26, 2025. Owners should contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 for more information. Ford’s number for this recall is 25S46.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 for more information.
