Low rain chances on Memorial Day and the rain continues into the work week

SUNDAY EVENING FORECAST

Hail, lightning, and strong wind gusts dominated Sunday’s isolated storms. These storms will continue through Sunday evening for some areas. Southeast Georgia will continue to get storms into the late evening, as rain tapers off for Northeast Florida after sunset. Evening rain accumulations have dropped to no more than a quarter of an inch.

Here’s a look at what to expect tonight:

Monday afternoon storms (Copyright 2025 by WJXT News4JAX – All rights reserved.)

Rain is most likely for parts of SE GA north of Brunswick and parts of Northeast FL in Alachua, Putnam, Flagler and St Johns counties. It will remain isolated. Some counties will not see rain at all. Monday accumulation is less than a 10th of an inch.

SUNDAY EVENING FORECAST:

Temperatures will drop to the mid-70s by midnight, with winds shifting from breezy to calm, high humidity, and mostly cloudy skies. Storms will remain isolated through midnight as storms shift from NE Florida and SE Georgia to Southeast Georgia.

LOOKING AHEAD:

Rain chances will rain in the 30 to 60 percentile for most of the work week, including Memorial Day.
