FedEx plans to lay off 305 employees at a site in north Fort Worth, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notice filed by the overnight delivery company with the state.

The Memphis-based company said about 52% of the 580 employees working at the FedEx Supply Chain Logistics and Electronics site at 13500 Independence Parkway in the AllianceTexas development will be furloughed. According to the letter sent to the Texas Workforce Commission, the layoffs are the result of a FedEx customer that decided to move part of its business to a new location, where the work will be managed by a new third-party logistics provider. FedEx did not identify the new location or the customer.

“We expect this transition to be complete at the end of October 2025,” FedEx said in a statement.

According to the letter, the layoffs will occur between July 6 and Oct. 25 and some of the affected employees may be offered other jobs with the company.

The layoffs are not related to FedEx’s Network 2.0 plan, a multiyear effort to streamline operations and has led the company to close several plants around the country in recent months, company officials said.
