Woman critically hurt in Lawndale shooting, police say
A woman was critically injured in a Lawndale shooting, Chicago police said.
The shooting happened at about 4:20 a.m. on Saturday in the 1400-block of S. Kenneth Avenue, police said.
A woman, 22, was sitting in a car when a suspect approached and started to shoot at her, police said.
The victim was shot multiple times in the head and was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police did not say of the suspect was male or female.
Nobody is in custody.
Man shot while walking in Burnside, police say
A man was shot while walking in the Burnside neighborhood on Saturday, Chicago police said.
Officers responded to a call of a man shot at about 1:42 a.m. in the 1100-block of E. 91st Steet.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, told police he was walking when he head shots and felt pain.
He was shot in the left leg and taken to an area hospital. He is expected to be OK.
Nobody is in custody.
Man found shot to death in Austin, police say
A man was found shot to death in Austin on Saturday, Chicago police said.
CPD officers responded to a call of shots fired at about 12:50 a.m. in the 1200 block of N. Massasoit Avenue.
Officers then found a 35-year-old man unresponsive with two gunshot wounds to the chest.
Chicago police said the victim was taken to an area hospital where he died.
A gun was found at the scene. CPD is conducting a homicide investigation.
Nobody is in custody.
15-year-old shot in Englewood, police say
A teenager was shot after he was approached while walking on the city’s South Side, police said.
A teenager was shot on Saturday in the 300-block of Marquette Road, police said.
The shooting happened on Saturday at about 1:17 a.m. in the 300-block of Marquette Road, police said.
A boy, 15, was walking when a man allegedly approached him, and they started to argue.
The man then shot the teen twice in the left thigh, police said.
The teen was taken to an area hospital and is expected to be OK.
Nobody is in custody. Chicago police Area One detectives are investigating.
