Trader Joe’s is readying another store for North Texas.
The grocer — with a devoted fan base in Texas and around the country — is set to add a site in McKinney, according to a posting on its website that says it’s “coming soon.” It is set to be at 8101 Eldorado Parkway.
The new store will be relatively near another existing Trader Joe’s store in McKinney that’s closer to 75 and is about five miles away.
Trader Joe’s is expanding in North Texas as it looks to compete with other grocery rivals that include H-E-B, Tom Thumb and Sprouts Farmers Market that are also investing in the region. McKinney is one of the larger, faster-growing parts of D-FW with a population that’s reached more than 213,000, as of July 2023, according to the U.S. Census.
