Decatur in Wise County issued a boil water notice Friday after finding E. coli bacteria in the city’s water supply system.According to a Facebook post posted after 4 p.m., the city conducted routine monthly drinking water testing and found the affected location to be in the 1100 block of North Church Street. The city said it has conducted resampling, and it’s awaiting the new results to decide whether to lift the notice. The Texas Education Agency is prosecuting a complaint against former Rockwall-Heath football coach John Harrell for the physical mistreatment of students within Rockwall ISD, according to an email that was obtained by The Dallas Morning News.Harrell and Rockwall ISD received national attention in January 2023 when at least 26 athletes were injured in a workout, including some who were hospitalized with rhabdomyolysis. AUSTIN — Google agreed in principle to a nearly $1.4 billion settlement with Texas, Attorney General Ken Paxton said Friday.Paxton said the historic sum is the most money any attorney general has recovered from the Big Tech company for enforcing state privacy laws.
