The buyer of a $17 million apartment building on the city’s northside says he was defrauded by its developer, who misled him about Regis University’s long-term lease there. Slipstream Properties, a small, Glendale-based developer of multifamily buildings, turned 4923 King St. into the 29-unit Vincent J. Boryla Apartments between 2016 and 2018, when the university signed a 10-year lease. Catamount Constructors handled construction. Republicans are trying to push the Antisemitism Awareness Act through Congress for the second year in a row, but they have even less momentum this time around because the college protests that fueled the 2024 support for the act have simmered down.  Supporters of the bill said it’s necessary to protect the civil rights of Jewish students after protests on college campuses in 2024 left some Jewish students feeling threatened or unsafe.  “Chasing Jewish students into a room, pounding on the…

BOSTON — There are two things which New Yorkers overrate above all else. The quality of their pizza and the relevance of the New York Knicks. The Celtics and those Knicks begin their best-of-seven playoff series on Monday as the Big Apple Circus comes to TD Garden. The Knicks will bring with them an exaggerated spotlight, tons of media attention and a whole lotta razzle-dazzle. All of which helps obscure the fact that playoff basketball always ends in disappointment for Knicks fans and usually ends pretty early in the postseason.Beginning Monday, Boston will simply be playing the next opponent in front…
