Cool and dry through the Memorial Day weekend

Another cool yet dry day.

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds, mild, low 46.SUNDAY: Sun then clouds, slightly cool, high 68.MONDAY: Thickening clouds, warmer, high 71.TUESDAY: PM rain, cool, high 68.WEDNESDAY: AM rain, warmer high 72.THURSDAY: Chance for showers, seasonable, high 76.FRIDAY: Chance for showers, seasonable, high 74.SATURDAY: Chance of scattered showers, average, high 74.

Cool and dry conditions continue through this holiday weekend. We will see cloud coverage build in overnight and wake up to partly cloudy skies. Those clouds will linger through the day tomorrow. There is the slightest chance some of us encounter a light afternoon/early evening shower. I say this with little confidence as the upper-level moisture will drop through a dry layer of air and may not make it to the ground.

Memorial Day will remain dry; however, the clouds will build in through the day ahead of our next impactful rain system. Highs will sit right around 70 through the area.

Low pressure from the southwest is working its way northeast and will bring rain into Central Ohio on Tuesday. The morning looks dry for now and we will start to see those showers sometime into the afternoon. This system continues on a northeasterly track and will continue dropping rain through Wednesday morning. This looks like a good soaker event with accumulations up to an inch.

The good news is the low comes with a warm front and will help rebound temperatures to more seasonable highs into the back half of the week! We hold on to some low-end rain chances, so some scattered showers look to continue into the weekend.
