Tyler Booker is fully embracing his new Texan lifestyle.
Less than a day after he was drafted, the Dallas Cowboys’ first-round pick received a new pair of Lucchese boots. Now he’s making his way to D-FW’s barbecue scene.
According to the restaurant’s social media pages, Booker recently made a stop at Hutchins BBQ. Per the restaurant’s Instagram post Monday, it appears Booker was at Hutchins BBQ’s McKinney location.
Hutchins BBQ, home to the signature Texas Twinkie, has locations in McKinney and Frisco.
“Drafted by the Cowboys? First play: BBQ,” the restaurant’s social media post read. “Tyler Booker kicked off his Texas chapter with a stop at Hutchins, and we were proud to give him a warm welcome!”
Booker is the newest addition to the Cowboys’ offensive line. Dallas selected the Alabama product with the 12th overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Booker is expected to line up at right guard.
This apparently wasn’t Booker’s first stop at Hutchins BBQ. Booker spoke to reporters during his Cowboys introduction, where he broke down how the restaurant has become a favorite for him and his family.
“Every time I’m in [the] Dallas area, I gotta go to Hutchins,” Booker said. “Looking forward to getting back there.”
Booker wasn’t the only 2025 draftee to visit a Hutchins BBQ location this month. Southlake Carroll product Quinn Ewers shared a social media video of his Hutchins BBQ experience after he was selected in the seventh round by the Miami Dolphins.
