GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Three people are facing charges after multiple law enforcement agencies busted an alleged meth trafficking ring in Gaston County, deputies say.
The Gaston County Police Department collaborated with federal and local agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, for the operation. Investigators say the drugs were being distributed in northwest Gaston County and surrounding areas.
Investigators announced the arrest of three Cherryville residents during the bust: Johnny Ray Lynn Jr., Donnie Ray Wallace and Bridgette Susannah Lynn. All three suspects face over 30 charges related to meth trafficking and distribution.
Multiple law enforcement agencies say the arrests were the result of a monthlong investigation of the suspects. Officers seized over 2,300 grams of methamphetamine and eight guns while serving warrants.

All three suspects are being held without bond. Wallace and Bridgette Lynn are in Cleveland County, while Johnny Ray Lynn Jr. is in Gaston County jail.

Note: WCNC instituted a policy in March 2021 regarding the broadcast or posting of mugshots.
WCNC will only air or post a mugshot if the person has been formally charged with a crime and in a few other cases. The exceptions include: If it appears the person could be a danger to themselves or others or if they are wanted by authorities; to differentiate between people with a common name; if the photos could encourage more victims to come forward. The news-editorial leadership may also decide to use a mugshot based on the severity of the crime(s) committed and/or the level of public interest in the crime and ensuing criminal proceedings.
