CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A unique organization is making waves in the Charlotte community by fostering connections and promoting overall wellness. Habitual Roots, a Charlotte-based nonprofit, is dedicated to helping individuals transform their lives through the power of community connection.

“Our main focus is having real conversation and meaningful connection,” Ervin said.

The nonprofit offers a wide range of workshops, from yoga to hiking and even book clubs, using evidence-based methods to help people achieve their goals.

“We’re hitting on both the mental, emotional and physical and social side of things, because really, we’re wanting to create a space where people can connect and, you know, continue to build that healthy lifestyle that they’re looking for,” Ervin said.

Empowering individuals and building a sense of community connection is at the heart of Habitual Roots’ mission.

“Our goal is just to help individuals who come out connect more with themselves, with their community, and ultimately, our city,” Ervin said.

Habitual Roots also hosts support groups that meet biweekly, offering a welcoming space for self-expression and connection. They say their community is open to all, offering a sense of belonging and mutual support.
