Linda Smith lived life under the shadow of pain. The Houston local suffered pain from neuropathy for around eight months and had soldiered on through “arthritis and shoulder pain for years.” Smith found that traditional treatments to help ease pain were not working. “My level, pain level, was about 10 out of 10,” she said. That was until she learned of an alternative pain relief treatment at NexGenEsis Healthcare that harnesses the body’s own power to heal.

“It’s a method of treatment where we are using the body’s own natural healing properties to essentially put the body in the best position to heal itself,” explained Dr. Joe Fuhrman from NexGenEsis Healthcare. This approach of using regenerative medicine contrasts sharply with traditional medical practices that often focus on masking pain rather than addressing its root causes.

“Right now, I’m pain-free,” said Smith, who credits the team at NextGenEsis for turning her life around.

The regenerative medicine approach at NexGenEsis involves a combination of advanced therapies and the patient’s biological materials. “We take their own healthy cells, their growth factors, and their molecules and we put them into those joint spaces to help promote that healing,” said Dr. Abhishek Reddy

Patients can expect a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to their needs. “We reassess them at each visit and can adjust the treatment plan as needed,” Dr. Reddy said. “We really like to help the patients and get their quality of life back.”

Typically, patients begin to feel relief within the first few treatments. “It’s not meant to be an overnight fix,” Dr. Fuhrman cautioned. “It does take a little bit of time, but usually within that first couple of treatments, patients are noticing those changes.”

Determining when to seek help can be challenging, as pain thresholds vary from person to person. Dr. Fuhrman noted that many patients have already tried other treatments, such as medications or steroid injections, before coming to NexGenEsis. “Those are the types of patients that we see, but anybody who’s in pain—joint pain, nerve pain, numbness, tingling—these are things that we can help with,” he said.

NexGenEsis Healthcare is offering Houston Life viewers a special opportunity. By mentioning the show, you will get a free phone consultation to determine if you are a good candidate for an in-office examination. Call 832-570-4529 or visit nexgenesishealthcare.com for more information.
