JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Liam Coen and the Jaguars will head to London in Week 7 and face a team that he knows well — the Los Angeles Rams.
That matchup was one of the seven international games announced by the NFL on “Good Morning Football” on Tuesday morning. The teams will meet at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 12 with a 9:30 a.m. kickoff.
Jacksonville has played 13 games in London, the most among NFL teams. It is 7-6 all-time in games there. The Rams are 2-2 in games in London. The full NFL schedule will be released on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

It’s a matchup with a meaty storyline.
Coen cut his teeth in the NFL with the Rams and head coach Sean McVay. Coen was the assistant receivers coach there in 2018-19 and the quarterbacks coach in 2020. After a season at Kentucky, Coen returned to Los Angeles in 2022 and served as the quarterbacks coach and the offensive coordinator.
General manager James Gladstone has deep ties to the Rams, too. He spent his first nine seasons in the NFL working under Los Angeles GM Les Snead, and alongside McVay.
Jacksonville has fared poorly in its 31-year history against the Rams, going 1-5 all-time in that series.
The teams met four times when the Rams were based in St. Louis, with Jacksonville going just 1-3 in games from 1996 to 2013. The Rams have beaten Jacksonville twice since their move to Los Angeles, winning 27-17 in 2017 and 37-7 in 2021.
The Jaguars are coming off an organizational reset after a 4-13 finish under Doug Pederson in 2024. Owner Shad Khan fired Pederson a day after the season and then pulled the trigger on firing general manager Trent Baalke weeks later. That cleared the way to hire Coen and then Gladstone. Khan also named franchise icon Tony Boselli as the team’s executive vice president of football operations.
Gladstone pulled off the biggest draft trade in franchise history last month, moving up from No. 5 to No. 2 to pick Colorado superstar Travis Hunter.
Hunter won the Heisman Trophy last year and is unquestionably the biggest star to be selected by the franchise. Hunter is expected to start his career largely on the offensive side of the ball at receiver, but see action at cornerback, too.
