SAN ANTONIO — The J.W. Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa is gearing up for a summer filled with fun and relaxation, offering a variety of amenities for both families and adults.
We Are Austin’s Trevor Scott is on the road, soaking up the sun and reporting live from this luxurious getaway. First, he’s diving into the River Bluff Water Experience, a 9-acre water park that promises fun for everyone.
Nina Shokrian, director of marketing and public relations, shared what makes the J.W. Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa a prime destination for summer travel.
The River Top, located at the heart of the water park, offers guests easy access to delicious food and drinks, whether they’re lounging by the pool or floating down the river.
The menu caters to all tastes, featuring light bites like fresh fruit cups and heartier meals. Guests can cool off with frozen margaritas, craft beer drafts, or family-friendly smoothies under the Hill Country sun.
For those seeking a more exclusive experience, cabanas are available. Each cabana seats up to eight guests and includes amenities like shade, lounge seating, and personal VIP service. Cabana guests enjoy the convenience of a private server from the Rivertop Bar and Grill, though full service attendants are available for all guests through the water park.
“In the summer, this is where we do our Flick and Float where you can relax and watch your favorite movie,” said Shokrian.
Plus, the resort has a family-friendly vibe with a sandy beach, kid’s wading pool, splash pad and kid-friendly water slides. For little foodies, kids can grab chicken tenders in beach buckets.
Don’t miss a main attraction– jaw-dropping waterslide experiences. A tube ride accommodates single tubes or double tubes for those who want to share the fun. Plus, body slides are sure to thrill riders.
“We have the Hill Country Plunge and the Canyon Oaks Twister. It’s a 60 foot drop and you’ll be going 20 miles per hour!” said Shokrian.
For those looking to unwind, the adults-only infinity pool offers an elevated experierience with sunset views framed by rolling oaks, private cabanas and curated cocktail service.
Golf enthusiasts can enjoy two tour-level courses at TPC San Antonio, including the Oaks Course, host of the Valero Texas Open, and the Canyons Course.
For a more tranquil experience, the Lantana Spa provides a sanctuary for massage, beauty and wellness therapies inspired by native botanicals.
