COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Good morning, Central Ohio! Smoke lingers in our skies Sunday as winds transport wildfire smoke from Canada. Despite the smoke, mostly sunny skies are on tap with highs in the low 70s.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny skies. High: 71TONIGHT: Mainly clear skies. Low: 49MONDAY: Mostly sunny skies. High: 80TUESDAY: Mostly sunny skies. Warm and humid. High: 85

For tonight, there is a chance to see the Northern Lights. While there will be little to no cloud cover, the smoke could dull the lights. The best way to view the northern lights is to get away from city lights and look north. Make sure to send any pictures to chime in!

Dry weather persists into Monday with lingering smoke. It will be warmer with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s.

By Tuesday, temperatures will soar into the mid-80s under mostly sunny skies.

Most of Wednesday will be dry which will allow temperatures to soar into the upper 80s. A few places could even reach 90.

By Wednesday night, rain showers filter into northwest Ohio ahead of a cold front.

The cold front slowly tracks into the Midwest with scattered rain showers and a few thunderstorms possible Thursday and Friday.

Temperatures will be warm and near average in the upper 70s and low 80s.
