The suspects were arrested after investigators seized several guns from a home in Charlotte.

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — Two Charlotte men are facing charges in Lincoln County after deputies said they broke into a business earlier this week and stole several guns.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a break-in at a business along North Carolina 73 on Monday. When deputies arrived, they learned multiple guns had been stolen when a group of men broke the front door.

Deputies say new license plate readers helped them get a lead faster than traditional methods. As a result, deputies located a suspect vehicle and determined who it belonged to. Multiple agencies, including CMPD and ATF, collaborated to serve warrants at the man’s home. During the search, investigators seized five weapons linked to the break-in.

Divine Rodziewicz and Dashawn Donaldson were each charged with 10 counts of felony larceny of a firearm and one count each of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and conspiracy. Both men are being held in the Lincoln County jail under a $70,000 bond.

The sheriff’s office announced in March that it was installing more than two dozen Flock Safety cameras to reduce violent crime in the area. Several Charlotte-area municipalities installed the cameras, including Gastonia and Union County.

Note: WCNC instituted a policy in March 2021 regarding the broadcast or posting of mugshots.

WCNC will only air or post a mugshot if the person has been formally charged with a crime and in a few other cases. The exceptions include: If it appears the person could be a danger to themselves or others or if they are wanted by authorities; to differentiate between people with a common name; if the photos could encourage more victims to come forward. The news-editorial leadership may also decide to use a mugshot based on the severity of the crime(s) committed and/or the level of public interest in the crime and ensuing criminal proceedings.
