Cartoon duo “Phineas and Ferb” are returning for new episodes this summer after 10 years away from television. This time, the show has made a minor detail change.
Phineas will be undergoing a fashion change, the Associated Press reported.
“The more observant of you will notice Phineas’ shirt has one extra stripe,” says co-creator Jeff Marsh.
Dan Povenmire, Marsh’s creative partner, added “he hasn’t actually gotten any taller, but we’re giving him the illusion of getting taller.”
The Disney show features two step-brothers enjoying their summer vacation from school. Determined to make the most of each day, the two take part in wacky adventures like building a roller coaster in their backyard, time-traveling and going to space.
The two also have a pet platypus named Perry who fights crime in disguise.
With its decade-long hiatus over, the returning series will restart with Phineas and Ferb still enjoying summer vacation, Dr. Doofenshmirtz updating his social media status to “Evil Again” — and their sister Candace once again on her quest to get her brothers in trouble, the Associated Press reported.
The first two episodes of the 40 ordered will air on June 5 on Disney Channel and Disney XD, while the first full batch of 10 episodes will premiere on Disney+ starting June 6.
