BRUNSWICK, Ga. – For the first time in nearly eight years, the Brunswick skies were filled with pilots performing stunts in their planes on the first day of the Golden Isles Air Show.

Thousands of people came out to support, and they were left in awe of the civilian and military pilots performing. Especially, B.J. Samuel who said he now wants to be a pilot.

“It was cool,” BJ said.

Around 15 pilots performed Saturday. Among them were members of the Blue Angels.

The two-day 2025 Golden Isles Air Show is expected to bring in over 25,000 people this weekend.

An organizer for the air show said the last time an air show was in Brunswick was in 2017. Attendees said they’re glad it’s back, especially for the children to experience.

“I think this is a great family event for everyone,”

B.J. Samuel said he was excited to get an autograph from a pilot named R.J. Gritter.

Tamika Samuel said she immediately looked into getting tickets when she saw the show was returning.

“When we saw the preview for it, I immediately told my mom about it, I told her, they’re having the Blue Angels show again, because I knew it had been a long time. And I started looking into getting tickets and stuff for everybody.

The show continues on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Organizers said there are still tickets available if people want to come out and see it.
