Jennifer Schroeder was suspended with pay, according to a public records request submitted by WCNC Charlotte.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The principal of Randolph Middle School in southeast Charlotte has been suspended with pay, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
In a message to parents, Performance Area Assistant Superintendent Jennifer Dean notified families that Jennifer Schroeder was “away from campus” during end-of-year testing. It’s unclear why Schroeder was suspended. It comes days after Ardrey Kell’s principal was suspended without explanation. WCNC Charlotte has reached out to CMS for more details about the situation. Personnel records show her suspension took effect on May 20.
“At Randolph Middle School ,we remain focused and committed to our shared goals and students,” the message says. “We have strong systems and dedicated people in place to ensure continuity and support for our staff, students, and families.”

Janice Davidson, who has experience as a principal with CMS, is providing administrative support to Randolph Middle School for the time being, alongside assistant principal Micah Griffith.
“We understand that this adjustment in leadership may cause some concerns, but rest assured that this will not affect the daily operations of the school,” Dean said.
