COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Good Friday morning! We are starting off the morning with temps in the 40s and clearing skies. So sunshine to start the day, but we will become mostly cloudy pretty quickly. Enjoy the early sun. We will warm to a high around 63 today, so a jacket may be needed all day.
FRIDAY: Sun then mostly cloudy, slight chance for a stray shower, high 63.TONIGHT: Clearing skies, chilly, low 43.SATURDAY: Mostly sunny, few afternoon clouds, high 67.SUNDAY: Partly cloudy, high 68.MONDAY: Partly cloudy, high 71.TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy, scattered rain, high 70.WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy, scattered rain, high 72.THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy, slight chance of rain, high 74.
There is a 20% chance of rain today for a few lingering light showers or sprinkles to be squeezed out, as we are on the tail-end of this slow-moving area of low pressure kicking off the East Coast. Light breeze out of the northwest today making it feel a little cooler, then lighter winds for the weekend.
The holiday weekend will bring warming temps and more sunshine. Mostly sunny for Saturday with a morning low around 43 then a high of 67. Partly cloudy for Sunday and Monday. We were watching a disturbance sliding down from the Plains and that still looks to happen as we head into early next week, but it dives south of Ohio and only a 10% chance of rain for Sunday and Monday, mainly south. We warm to a high around 68 on Sunday then 71 on Monday.
We may see a few rain showers sneaking back in by Tuesday and Wednesday. Right now the timing is uncertain, but I am going to keep a 40% chance of rain each of these days, with generally overcast skies. We warm to 70 on Tuesday then 72 on Wednesday. Mostly cloudy with a stray lingering shower on Thursday, with a high of 74. Have a good one!
