It sounds like the Knicks gave Stephen A. Smith the cold shoulder after their series clincher on Friday night.

During ESPN’s postgame broadcast, Smith said that the Knicks players apparently had nothing to say to him following their 119-81 Game 6 trouncing of the Celtics because he originally picked Boston to win the series.

“Jalen Brunson came up to me and said, ‘I have nothing to say to you,’” Smith said alongside former Knicks great John Starks during the postgame broadcast. “Karl-Anthony Towns said, ‘You picked the wrong team’ because I picked Boston before the series began.

“I, like everybody else in America, changed my mind when they won Games 1 and 2 in Boston,” Smith added.

Smith posted a video to X of him and Brunson after the game, with the interaction appearing to be short-lived.

Starks, however, questioned Smith for switching his prediction mid-series, telling him that he has to “stay true” to his initial call.

Smith quickly interjected and responded by saying, “I didn’t mind being held accountable for picking against the Knicks because that’s when they played best.”

The Knicks’ win has landed them a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals, their first in 25 years.

They are set to face off against the Pacers, with game one on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.
