West Springfield girls lacrosse defeated Minnechaug on Monday, 15-7, behind a dominant offensive performance.
Audrey Canata led the way for the Terriers, scoring eight goals and powering West Springfield’s attack. Ainsley Kearney also filled up the stat sheet by posting three goals and four assists, and Darby Poe and Emma Chapman each tallied a pair of goals.
Peyton Lee drove Minnechaug’s offense, with a team-high four goals in the contest. Sophia Kozub, Ella Sarno and Olivia Gencarelli also scored for the Falcons.
With the win, West Springfield brings its win streak to four games and moves to 10-3 overall on the season. The Terriers will return to action on Friday, May 9 at 4 p.m. on the road against Westfield.
Meanwhile, Minnechaug drops to 4-9 this year. The Falcons will have a chance to get back in the win column on Wednesday, May 7 on the road vs. Andover at 7 p.m.
