Sequim Irrigation Festival. This fest is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year. The state’s oldest and longest-running festival commemorates what farmer D.R. Callen and his partners did in 1895 to design and develop the irrigation ditches that brought water from the Dungeness River to the parched prairie (without that irrigation system, the town of Sequim would not have prospered and grown to what it is today). It will feature family activities, live entertainment, arts & crafts, pageants, a fun run, food, fashion and ending with a jam-packed Grand Finale Weekend.
