Seattle Beer Week. Seattle is a craft beer city, so of course, we have a Beer Week! This nine-day extravaganza will feature pub crawls, beer specials, mini-festivals, special events and more.

Saturday, May 10
Spirit of Africa. This event celebrates Africa’s richness through performances, exhibitions, talks and more. It “is a celebration of the music, dance, and culture of Africa.” There will be performances happening throughout the day from “local and internationally-acclaimed artists from Africa and the African Diaspora,” as well as food and vendors inside the marketplace.

Seattle Pierogi Fest. Seattle Pierogi Fest is offering plates of 10 pierogi for $18 for adults and five pierogi for $9 for children. You will have your choice of fillings, including meat, potato and cheese, sauerkraut and mushroom, sweet cheese and blueberry. You will be able to eat them in the downstairs hall or the upstairs hall with a beer garden, and there will also be a performance by the Polish Choir Vivat Musica at 1:30 p.m.

17th Annual Flower Festival. This annual festival at Seattle’s Pike Place Market celebrates the iconic market flowers and the farmers who make them a reality. This event takes place over Mother’s Day weekend each year and will highlight the more than 35 flower farmers at the market, as well as feature bouquets of flowers including tulips, daffodils, irises and more.

MORE:Bouquet Bliss: The 16th Annual Pike Place Flower Festival
Seattle Art Book Fair. This two-day festival highlights independent publishing, book design and artist books. It will feature artists/designers/organizations, talks, art installations, activities and more than 85 exhibitors.
